Classic and Volume lashes are two different looks in terms of lash density. However, a good lash technician could create quite a dense set of classics that can mimic a fine volume set.

Classic Lashes: Natural Length and Definition
Classic lashes offer a more subtle, natural look. Each lash extension is meticulously applied to one of your natural lashes, creating a mascara-like effect with added length and definition. This technique is ideal for those with naturally full lashes who desire a touch of enhancement.

Classic lashes are great for length. If you have naturally short, stubby lashes and want length rather than density, then classics are for you. But, as I mentioned earlier, a good lash tech can create a set of classics that look like fine-volume lashes. The natural lashes should be reasonably thick, with every lash applied individually, in order to achieve this look.
Volume Lashes: Dramatic Fullness and Flutter
Volume lashes take things up a notch! Instead of a single lash, our technicians create tiny fans of 3-15 ultra-fine lashes and meticulously attach them to each of your natural lashes. The end result is a dramatic, voluminous look with a beautiful flutter.
How many fans can be attached depends on your desired look and the strength of your natural lashes.

Do you have fine, sparse lashes? Do you worry that volume lashes will be too heavy as you aren’t used to them? Are you new to lash extensions?
Classics may not be the right choice for you. Instead, a fine set of volumes consisting of 2 or 3 (maybe 4, at most) fans will fill out the sparseness without making them look too heavy. A natural set of volume lashes like this would be an ideal choice.
Choosing the Right Lash for You
The best lash type depends on your natural lash health and desired look.
- Classic Lashes: Ideal for those with naturally full or thick lashes who want a natural mascara effect with added length.
- Volume Lashes: Perfect for those with sparse or fine lashes who desire a fuller, more dramatic look. Even clients new to lashes can enjoy a natural-looking volume set with 2 to 4 lashes per fan.
Which Lashes Look More Natural?
Generally, Classic Lashes tend to have a more natural look. That said, client lashes can be done as full as a natural volume and vice-versa, volume can be done as naturally as a full classic!
